Resurfacing lays a fresh layer of asphalt over an existing driveway with cracks or wear but a still-solid base underneath. It's one of the most cost-effective ways to refresh a driveway without paying for full removal and replacement.

When an Overlay Fits

Resurfacing works when the wear is on the surface and the base underneath is still doing its job. Before recommending it we look for settlement, movement, drainage problems, unsupported edges, and the kind of cracking that will reflect straight through a new layer.

If those are present, an overlay is money spent on a countdown.

Preparing What's Already There

Failed areas get repaired before the overlay goes down. The existing surface has to be clean, the transitions at the garage, street, and walkways have to be planned so the finished height still works, and the new layer has to bond to what's beneath it.

Resurfacing Against Replacement
